COMPANY PROFILE The company started as a distributor for Varel rock bits in 1980 by Gordon Mackenzie as a family run business under the name of Pendemak Industries and has grown steadily since that time. In 2007 Pendemak was acquired by VAREL INTERNATIONAL and is now know as VAREL ROCK BITS CANADA Today, we service the drilling and work-over needs of the oil and gas industry in Canada with a complete line of tricone drill bits and PDC fixed cutter drill bits we are able to offer a quality product with a high level of application knowledge, which increases operators drilling efficiencies and reduces their drilling costs. VAREL ROCK BITS CANADA has an Operations Center, PDC Repair Facility and Head Office based in Edmonton, Alberta, a Technical Sales Office in Calgary and a network of 14 manned field offices and 46 work-over stock points in western Canada to efficiently service the needs of our customers. We also provide onsite drill bit supervision to maximize drilling efficiencies. We work directly with VAREL INTERNATIONAL on research and development initiatives to develop innovative products for our customers. VAREL ROCKBITS CANADA prides itself on the ability to provide superior drill bit programming guidance based upon the company’s extensive knowledge of the geologic formations in Canada and combined with the use of our proprietary database that merges past bit records with geologic formation tops for that location. |
